White Grizzly? My English name is Heather and I am a descendant of the Ho-Chunk Nation. My Ho-Chunk name is White Grizzly. I was named in the traditional way when I was a child.
I believe that massage therapy is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle. My philosophy is centered around the idea that the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected layers, and that holistic therapies like massage can help to support healing and the balance of all three.
My intention is to create a space where you and your body can feel safe, supported, and free to release what it no longer needs—helping you move forward with greater ease, strength, and resilience.
At White Grizzly, I take a holistic approach to massage therapy, focusing on the mind-body connection and treating the whole person. My goal is to help you achieve mobility, balance and harmony in your life through the art and science of the healing power of touch.
Drawing on a rich background in neuromuscular therapy and advanced training

In Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT), we zero in on myofascial trigger points—microscopic muscle spasms at the neuromuscular junction. We study how these form and then apply specific techniques to restore healthy function.

Trigger points make muscles weak, painful, and dysfunctional, increasing injury risk. They can also mimic serious conditions; for instance, a trigger point in your Pectoralis Major might feel like a heart attack.
NMT therapists use an assessment to differentiate trigger points from other issues. We then use techniques like lymphatics, PNF stretching, deep transverse friction, myofascial release, somatics, muscular reeducation, and corrective actions to re-establish neuromuscular health.

My work combines multiple modalities to approach the body from various angles—physically, neurologically, and energetically. Through somatic techniques, I help you to regulate your Nervous System, release stored tension and promote greater body awareness. I also incorporate fascial work and yoga-based movement to increase mobility, reduce pain, and promote positive biopsychosocial change. Each session is an opportunity to tune into your body’s innate wisdom and support its natural capacity to heal.
